THE CHALLENGE

Halfords is a true heritage brand, with a long, proud history and currently over 450 stores in the UK. They approached us last year and we were appointed their lead digital strategic agency, tasked with creating the digital roadmap for the entire business.

 

We helped them identify that their key challenge – to move away from simply pushing products and deals, towards a focus on driving sales through significant improvements to customer service. So we set out to work with them, and to use digital innovations online, on mobile and link it to the customer in-store to create a seamless brand experience.

OUR SOLUTION

Working with retail clients means results have to be generated quickly, so we defined a number of key metrics such as Net Promoter Scores and sales improvements as key areas for immediate focus. 

 

We have a methodology for working with clients to achieve immediate results, while still working on the longer-term strategic goals. Because in our experience of delivering transformation projects, we know that quick wins are always important to any business. 

 

We’ve successfully used this approach with Halfords – we call it ‘Change Today, Change Tomorrow’. It has allowed us, in just 10 weeks, to redesign important elements of the Halfords retail site, introducing more interactivity and streamlining the purchase process, cutting the checkout time in half.
